Send mail from Dropbox
Mail a PDF straight from Dropbox: use “Choose from Dropbox” on paperplane’s send page ($0.99 First-Class), or pass a Dropbox direct-download link as pdf_url to the REST API for automation.

Mail this deliverable to the client, certified.
Here’s the draft. I’ll get a quote before anything is sent.

Instead of sharing the link and asking them to print it
A share link asks the recipient to open, print and file the document. A mailed copy arrives already done, with a tracking number if you need one, and the chooser takes the same file you would have linked.
Set up Dropbox in three steps.
Native Dropbox chooser on the send page
- Step 01
Pick the PDF
On the send page, choose Upload → Choose from Dropbox and pick a text-based PDF (up to 12 pages).
- Step 02
Address it
Add recipient and return addresses — both verified against USPS data.
- Step 03
Pay. It mails.
Pay and it mails the next business day, with email status updates.
Copy the config.

}Under the hood
The chooser is Dropbox’s own embedded picker — we receive a one-time link to the file you select, nothing else. For automation, standard share links serve a preview page, not the file; convert to the direct-download form so the API can fetch the raw PDF.
Supported action fields
Every integration maps into the same fixed set of fields, the ones the REST API and MCP tools take directly.
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| mail_class | first_class, certified, certified_err (Certified with electronic Return Receipt), or priority |
| text or pdf_url | the letter body as plain text, or a fetchable PDF to print as-is |
| to | recipient name + street/city/state/zip, verified against USPS data |
| from | return address, printed on the envelope and used for undeliverable mail |
| where the receipt and status updates go — no account required |

Or skip the automation tool: ask Claude or ChatGPT
Every integration here sits on the same MCP endpoint agents use directly. Instead of wiring a trigger to an action, ask Claude or ChatGPT to draft and mail the letter. Same mailing tools (quote_letter, send_letter, get_letter_status), same price, same free sandbox.
Send your first letter from Dropbox.
Sandbox runs the whole pipeline for free and mails nothing. Live sends start at $0.99, one all-in price.

What access does paperplane get to my Dropbox?
Only the file you pick in Dropbox’s own chooser, via a one-time link. We never browse your Dropbox, and documents are deleted 30 days after delivery.
Why did my Dropbox share link fail as pdf_url?
Standard share links serve a preview page, not the file. Convert to the direct-download form (dl.dropboxusercontent.com / dl=1) so the API fetches the raw PDF.
What PDFs are supported?
Text-based PDFs up to 12 pages. Scanned-image PDFs aren’t supported — re-export from the original document instead.
