Real estate still runs on paper. Off-market offer letters to homeowners, notices required by purchase contracts, escrow instructions, and county correspondence routinely have to arrive as a physical letter — and a surprising amount of it is sent by people standing at a FedEx Office counter at 4:55 pm.
For prospecting — the "I’d like to buy your house on Maple Street" letter — First-Class at $0.99 is the right tool, and handwriting-style typesetting is free and reads warmer than default office type. One page, warm tone, a real return address.
For anything contractual, check the notice clause. Purchase agreements often require notices by "certified mail, return receipt requested" — that exact phrase means Certified + electronic Return Receipt ($14.99). Matching the clause matters more than speed; a notice sent the wrong way can be argued as no notice at all.

Why not go to the post office myself?

If something goes wrong, do I pay?
If we cannot mail the letter, the hold on your card is released and you are not charged. If a letter fails after your card is charged, you are refunded automatically and in full.
Can I send handwritten-style offer letters to homeowners?
Yes — pick a handwriting-style font at no extra cost. It is typeset, not pen-plotted, and we never misrepresent it as hand-written, but it reads far warmer than default office type.
My contract says "notice by certified mail." Which option is that?
Certified Mail ($12.99). If it adds "return receipt requested," choose Certified + electronic Return Receipt ($14.99) so you also get the delivery record.
Can I mail many letters to a farm area at once?
Today each order is one letter — built for one-offs and small batches driven via the API. For hundreds of identical pieces, a bulk direct-mail service is honestly the better tool.
