Send mail from a Google Forms submission

Mail a confirmation letter or signed contract straight from a form response: pair Google Forms’ own Zapier, Make, or n8n trigger with paperplane’s Send Letter action, mapping the submitted fields into the letter — from $0.99.

Instead of a confirmation email

A confirmation email lands in a promotions tab. A mailed confirmation, receipt or contract gets opened, and the trigger you would use for the email is the same one that feeds the letter.

How it works

Set up Google Forms in three steps.

Via Zapier, Make, or n8n — no direct app yet

  1. Step 01

    Watch responses

    Use the Google Forms “New Response” trigger on the form you want to act on.

  2. Step 02

    Map the answers

    Add the Send Letter action and map the response fields (name, address, free-text) into the letter and address fields.

  3. Step 03

    Sandbox, then go live

    Test with a real submission, then go live; every new response mails itself.

Copy the config.

What the action sends for a new response

  "sandbox": true,
  "text": "Dear Ms. Alvarez, ...",
  "to": { "name": "Maria Alvarez", "line1": "1 Main St",
            "city": "Richmond", "state": "VA", "zip": "23220" },
  "from": { "name": "Alex Rivera", "line1": "12 Grove Ave",

  "email": "alex@example.com"
}

Under the hood

Google Forms responses land in a Sheet by default, so this is the same row-to-letter mapping as the Google Sheets pairwise page, triggered directly off the form instead of the sheet. No paperplane-specific Forms app exists — this pairs Google’s own well-supported trigger with the standard Send Letter action.

Supported action fields

Every integration maps into the same fixed set of fields, the ones the REST API and MCP tools take directly.

Popular Google Forms workflows

Or skip the automation tool: ask Claude or ChatGPT

Every integration here sits on the same MCP endpoint agents use directly. Instead of wiring a trigger to an action, ask Claude or ChatGPT to draft and mail the letter. Same mailing tools (quote_letter, send_letter, get_letter_status), same price, same free sandbox.

Sandbox runs the whole pipeline for free and mails nothing. Live sends start at $0.99, one all-in price.

Common questions

Does the form need a specific question layout?

No fixed layout is required, but a form with separate fields for name, street, city, state, and zip maps far more cleanly into the address object than a single free-text "your address" question.

Can I mail a signed contract, not just a confirmation?

Yes — if the form (or a follow-up e-signature step) produces a fetchable PDF, map that into pdf_url instead of building the letter from text fields.

What happens if a respondent leaves the address incomplete?

USPS verification runs before payment on every order; an incomplete address returns a structured error instead of mailing, so the automation can flag that response for follow-up.
