PDF export + native automation apps

Send mail from Notion

Mail a Notion page as a real letter: export it as PDF (··· → Export → PDF) and upload at paperplane’s send page — $0.99 First-Class, mailed next business day; database-driven mail runs through the Zapier, Make, and n8n apps.

From $0.99 · postage included · no account needed

Instead of pasting the page into a word processor

Pasting a Notion page into a word processor loses the formatting you spent time on and adds a print run. Notion's own PDF export prints as-is, and a database row can become a letter without leaving the row.

How it works

Set up Notion in three steps.

PDF export + native automation apps

  1. Step 01

    Export the page

On the Notion page: ··· menu → Export → PDF. This yields the text-based PDF our printer accepts.

  2. Step 02

    Upload and address it

Upload at the send page (12-page max) and add the recipient and return addresses.

  3. Step 03

    Pay. It mails.

Pay and it is in USPS hands the next business day. At scale, mail database rows with the Zapier/Make/n8n action.

Copy the config.

Under the hood

Notion’s PDF export is print-perfect for standard text pages, and the automation apps cover database workflows — trigger on a row update, map the row into the Send Letter action, done. The REST API (POST /v1/orders) is always available underneath.

Supported action fields

Every integration maps into the same fixed set of fields, the ones the REST API and MCP tools take directly.

FieldWhat it does
mail_classfirst_class, certified, certified_err (Certified with electronic Return Receipt), or priority
text or pdf_urlthe letter body as plain text, or a fetchable PDF to print as-is

Popular Notion workflows

Or skip the automation tool: ask Claude or ChatGPT

Every integration here sits on the same MCP endpoint agents use directly. Instead of wiring a trigger to an action, ask Claude or ChatGPT to draft and mail the letter. Same mailing tools (quote_letter, send_letter, get_letter_status), same price, same free sandbox.

Sandbox runs the whole pipeline for free and mails nothing. Live sends start at $0.99, one all-in price.

Common questions

Do Notion PDF exports print well?

Yes for standard text pages. Databases, toggles, and wide tables export less predictably — preview the PDF before sending, since we print exactly what the PDF shows.

Can I mail a letter for each row in a database?

Yes — trigger on a row update in Zapier, Make, or n8n and map the row fields into the paperplane Send Letter action. Use sandbox mode to test the mapping free.

Is there anything to install in Notion itself?

No — Notion’s built-in export covers single letters, and the automation apps cover scale. Nothing extra lives inside your workspace.
